you can also switch releases, for example, when a release has different versions with more tracks then you can right-click on that album and say "other versions". check the Colours of those assigned tracks, green is good but yellow and red mean that there are too many differences between the assigned track and the metadata. then you can drag all the files into the album title and Picard will organize them into different tracks. as an alternative, you can always use the website to find your exact release and then copy the MusicBrainz ID of that release into the search bar of Picard, this will add that exact release on the right side. you should definitely check if everything is correctly assigned because sometimes it can happen that Picard puts an album track into different albums. If something is matched, it is moved to the right side of the screen. You pick a track or album and drag it into Picard, this will already search for the tracks in question (grey is "still looking for a match" and white text is "I couldn't match it"). For plex, it might make sense to save the poster in the Album in cover art -> Save cover images as a separate file and then set the file name to "poster".Īs for using MusicBrainz Picard, it is fairly simple. You should also look into the other settings and enable what you think is worth it. I would recommend setting it to something outside of your library so that you can find files that are "leftover".
